How in the world do you put all of this toothpaste back into the tube? IMO the NCAA had their chance to gradually course correct. But instead their inflexibility allowed the flood gates to open. I don't fault the kids. But lets not kid ourselves, its now a professional sport.

College coaches are going to have to adapt and I'm not sure that most can, or even want to for that matter. Even the great Nick Saban is going to be staring across the table at multiple incoming freshman recruits with multiple NIL options on the table. I feel for Pry and staff. Pretty much any kid you spend the time to evaulate and develop into a player can be lured away with an offer too good to refuse. We have effectively turned most P5 programs into a farm system for the handful of elite schools that are always in the running for the playoffs. I see a world where all the Bama coaches need to do is evaluate players, send a list over to the NIL folks, and show up as a formality at the end of the recruiting process.
